Wind tunnel testing was one of my favorite parts of my undergraduate coursework. High speeds could be experienced at the flick of a switch from a frame of reference not typically possible in the real world. Surprisingly, it wasn't often a very visual experience (we didn't usually use smoke), rather the sounds and data collected told the story. I explored this further for an art assignment that required describing an environment only through sound.
